               Yellow journalism is something that distorts, or exaggurates news to create sensation and attract readers.

2. "Four hostile newspapers are to be feared more than a thousand bayonets." Explain what this quote means.
               This quote means that media is more influencial than violence.

3.Was Pullitzer and Hearst's relationship close? Explain why or why not.
               Pullitzer and Hearst's relationship was anything but close. They were competitors. Each owned their own newspaper business in New York.




4. Where did Disco music originate from?
               Disco music originated from Phillidelphia. It came from a pair of guys whose names were Gamble and Hough--they begun The Philly Sound.

5. What does Greenlit mean? Who does it have to be called by before happening?
               Greenlit means that it is a go picture/movie. Before happening Greenlit has to be called by the director first.



Long-Answer Questions-6 to 8 Mark's

1. What does the inverted pyramid consist of? Explain what each consist of. Draw the inverted pyramid underneath explaination.
               The inverted pyramid has a lead, body, and ending. The lead includes the five W's of written event. The body includes details of the event and important facts. Lastly, the ending includes slightly important facts.

2. Is it important to know the demographic of who you are advertising too? Explain why.
               Yes, it's important to know the demographic you're trying to reach because you need to know which features are best to use to graso their audiences attention and know where to use your advertisement.

3. What's 'The Cakewalk'? Were white/black people offended by this dance?
               'The Cakewalk' is a dace black people would do to make fun of wealthy white people. The black people were the ones to create the dance. The black people who danced the cake walk were exaggurating their movements that made fun of white people "parading and showing off". White people weren't offended by this dance--they even began loving it, as well as watching and copying it.

4. Who are the Lumier Brothers? Why are they important?
               The Lumier Brothers are inventors of the cimematographe--which is a movie camera. They invented it when Thomas Edison had invented his kinetoscope. They're important because they used their movie maker for science. They created movies such as, "Train Entering Station", "Workers Leaving the Factory", and "Feeding the Baby".

5. What does a print advertisement consist of? Explain each.
               A print advertisement consists of a catchy slogan, centural or dominant image, composition/colour/light/balance/and other artistic elements, and information.
              A catchy slogan is used to catch a readers attention and conveys a feeling.
              A central or dominant image consists of a dominant message you're trying to convey to the audience which fills most of the page. This might be the product itself. The image should be "visually arresting".
              Composition, colour, light, balance, and other artistic elements focuses on colour theory, layout, etc... These elements need to create a "visually appealing" poster.
              Information includes the attitude of the poster, makes the audience understand the message you're trying to portray.

6. In the early 60's cool kids listened to what kind of music? Explain why this type of music was popular at the moment to cool kids.
               Folk music was the popular music that the cool kids listened to because this type of music was honest, real and meaningful. Rock music at the time was phony.



Oppinion Piece- 20 Mark's

Were the Beatles a success in the 60's? Are you a fan of the Beatles? Explain why or why not.

Yes. -played live alot
         -signed by George Harrison to write a top hit, now known as "I Want to Hold Your Hand"
         -music was catchy, fast beat, simple and repetative
         -music influenced by both folk and R&B types of music
         -Beatles were an attraction to teenage girls
         -secret was mixing bits of other bands into one
         -were a tad rebellious(long hair, mod suits, were cheeky/cute, etc...)

-I am a fan, but not a huge fan. Songs such as "Hey Jude", "I Want to Hold Your Hand", and "Blackbird". Reason for why I like them is because their songs are unique, they have a different style compaired to todays music--today's music being all basically the same meanings and such.

Annabell Hazel wakes from a coma from a car crash, she has no clue who she is--she can only search herself with little knowledge of who she once was.

Three Character Description thingy

Character One- Rosalie Forest
Rosalie Forest is a 21 year old, 5'6 tall girl who has light tanned skin, rosy cheeks, brown hair, small light blue eyes, full lips, and a medium sized nose.
She was abused by her parents from the ages of 9 to 16. She had left her parents at age 17. After a year
of living alone she had moved away from Italy and to Florida.

She wants revenge on her parents and on the ones who hadn't helped her when she pleaded for help from
them--her friends and other family--as well as anyone else who had made her life miserable.

Her hobbies are reading, writing, playing guitar, and photography. Her interests are hanging out at the beach with her friends or with her two dogs Laylah and Sky. Her favorite type of music is classical.She loves watching and creating horror movies. She is also an artist.

Rosalie's mental state on a daily basis is crazy, yet content and well-rounded. It is normal to her friends at work. She works as a secret agent at Private Investigation Agentcy--usually known as the PIA to individuals who for the Agentcy.

Character Two-Annabell Hazel
Annabell Hazel is a sarcastic, gentle, hyper, fairy-like bring who loves volenteering at the day care centre every other Thursday.

She has dirty blonde hair with caramel streaks and brown eyes. She is 18. Works at Fenning Grocery Store. She attends Shalling-Earls High School. Change isn't feared by Annabell. She is always happy and excitable--to everybody elses perspective.

Although she may seem bright, hyper, and giddy--she herself isn't satisfied with who she is. Self-esteem isn't the best with Annabell. She wishes she were different while searching for inner-peace of mind to find who she truely is.

Character Three- Sara Wilson
Sara Wilson is 17 years old, 5'5 tall, light brown hair, small lips and has medium army green eyes. She is tanned with freckles on her rosy pink cheeks.
Sara is outgoing, smart, athletic, and is a well-known individual. She is appart of most clubs and sports at Clemming-Dale High and is a straight-A student. Well known with both the teachers and students who also work and attend Clemming-Dale High. Volenteers at many charities. Her personality is breezy, yet bubbly.
Her career she wants to go into is to be a veterinarian. She seeks for her meaning to life; but, knows that she'll never find it.

Three TV Shows-Done

1-Title of Show- Baby Drama

Logline-
Baby drama is a sitcom about 3 babies meeting each other at a day care centre with drama between the 3 of them.

Description-
The main concept for the show is to bring each conflict to make a lesson that teaches the young audiences from manners to solving conflict. It is a sitcom for young kids. The three babies are named Matilda, Kattie, and Dylan. 

Target Audience-
The gender I am targeting towards is from ages 9 to 13. Reason why is because this group age watches cartoons and are more interested in shows that are kid-like funny.

2- Title of Show-
Holy Middle Livin'

Logline-
About God and Devil planning to either keep or destroy man-kind and Earth.

Description-
The main concept for the sitcom is for God and Saitan to find a way to work togeather in observing the daily lives of man kind. Due to man kind wrecking planet Earth. God and Saitan has to decide if it is time to begin a new species of such or to keep their intelligent beings to live forever with no risks and ending of their world by going on Earth to observe man kinds success.


Target Audience- 
The target audience that we are trying to attract is of the ages fifteen and up. Due to the variety of people who watch sitcom comedy's most times. This range of age group is also a group where they talk about what is on television and are interested in what their friends are watching now a days. We are targeting both girls and boys.

3. Title of Show-
Not Normal Life

Logline-
Gina Mann is 26 years old, in a conflict with another monster who is threatening to kill her; she needs her families help--but, she doesn't know where they are and what she'll need to do to find them all.

Description-
Not Normal Life is a one-hour show that is about a 26 year old woman named Gina Hann. She is a witch in need of help from her family. The only thing is that she doesn't know where her family is. She must go on an adventure to find her family. She meets new monsters and human on this adventure.

Target Description-
The target description for Not Normal Life is towards the ages of 14-19. This audience is targeted towards this age group because they watch scedulled shows and they talk about these shows to their friends. Which that means the show will be advertised through gossip.
